Chelsea Constable, Cameron CCV-100 demo.

The latest news from Chelsea Constable comes as no surprise to AMG. Constable is a constant point of reference for us when it comes to talent and tone. AMG was fortunate enough to gain exclusive first access to Chelsea's rendition of 4 mind boggling solos by ZZ Tops main axe, Billy Gibbons. Gibbons style is not easy to emulate, in fact he is one of the more difficult guitar masters to try and play or sound like with even a mild degree of success. Constable pulls it off in stellar fashion. Tone is one thing, style is another. When it comes to style Chelsea is able to feel the bends, harmonics, and phrasings that do very well in comparison to Gibbons tone and style. Constables talent as evident from these demos cannot be pigeon holed as, "just a shredder" or "fluke." Anyone who really knows Constable will also know she is far too versatile and capable of a musician to be held into any one categorical and definitive playing style. Constable is able to adapt to any style she puts her mind to, like a well seasoned chef she is able to cook up a plate of whatever she wants and does so with the gusto of a 5 star master.

Constable has her favorite bands and guitar players but listens to music that ranges in spectrum not unlike that of a rainbow. In that same respect she likes to experiment with tone and pays close attention to the subtle and harsh realities of instruments and amplification. Constable is prolific in her search for tone and takes every opportunity to experiment with different guitar and amplifier manufacturer’s product lines and continues to do so at this time. Constable is a young talent that is rapidly zeroing in on what she likes and prefers but keeps an open mind when it comes to tone and the tools needed to achieve what it is she feels fits her versatility in style and tone. Talent is the one ingredient never missing from Constables mix.

Chelsea most recently cranked up one of Cameron Amplifications CCV-100 prototypes and recorded a series of rock's most staple guitar solos ranging from ZZ TOP, DIO, and Van Halen. (Look for the later two here on AMG soon.) The audio files tell the truth. "I wanted the Cameron riffs to be familiar and something people could associate with. What better way to demo an amp than to play some of your favorite guitarist's solos.” Constable said.

So what equipment did she use to pull off this masterful feat, surprisingly not much according to Constable? "I used the CCV-100 head and 4X12 cab loaded with H30 Celestions. The clips are not perfect or anything but I wanted everyone to hear how cool this amp is at doing other stuff besides just high gain. The only track I used any effects on is Blue Jean Blues where I used a BOSS Chorus Ensemble CE-5 ran through the effects loop. The mic I used was a Shure SM 57. I ran from the guitar straight into the amp using an Accusound Silver Studio Pro cable." Constable said.

Chelsea Constable is a legend in every sense of the word, a better player than most of her own guitar heroes were at her age, Constable will be a constant in the world of Guitar, her focus is unquestionable.
